GRIEF AND WELLNESS SUPPORT
Loss can feel like your entire world has changed in an instant. It can be hard on both the physical and emotional body.
What has worked for you during times of loss?
Neuroscience is proving more everyday that there is healing in movement. "Touch, movement, and body-based interventions can be particularly effective in restoring relational health, as they engage the nonverbal aspects of communication and connection that are often disrupted by trauma"
I have specially curated these somatic system-loving Yoga and Massage Therapy sessions to comfort and release any stored tension in any body dealing with the challenging weight of grief. We focus on bringing the body and central nervous system to a safe and secure balance with gentle yoga asana + bodywork to support you in this time. These sessions may be bundled as a Yoga and Massage, or just Massage sessions.
This body-cherishing treatment can be done with low or no light, low or no music, specific music that makes you feel close to your loved one, and honoring a quiet space for you throughout. With much consideration of your inner space, you can find a moment to feel, and find safety in your body
Your grief is valid.
Requests for whatever might help you find comfort are open, please write them in the notes when booking and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Losing an extremely important person in my life taught me that one of the best things for grief was grief therapy, and receiving bodywork. I did not have the motivation to move, and that's okay if you feel this way too. Massage and being able to talk through therapy helped me feel human again amidst all of the emotions I had experienced.
I want to help you feel a little more secure in a space that may have changed drastically for you recently. I am not claiming the expertise of a Grief Counselor, but I am here to hold space for you in the best way I know I can. I am trauma informed, and here to guide you through this process with gentle understanding + supportive care.
